Microneedling Treatments

Microneedling (aka Collagen Induction Therapy) is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles to promote the bodies natural healing process to. This triggers new collagen and elsatin formation which helps with a number of skin problems, including age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, acne, and hyperpigmentation. How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling encourages your skin to make new collagen-rich cells. This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.
In addition to facial concerns, microneedling is sometimes used to treat stretch marks in other areas of the body, such as on the thighs and abdominal area. Scarring on other body parts may also be treated with this procedure. However, microneedling is primarily used on the face.
You may notice some irritation during the first few days. Your skin works fairly quickly to rejuvenate new tissue so you should see results within just a couple weeks. To maintain your results or obtain more drastic results, you may need multiple sessions and other complementing treatments.
